Some novels are cries from the heart. Cries muted, subtle, sometimes lyrical, but still crying. These cries heard throughout my reading of the novel by Marie-Josée Martin. Beautiful paradox, this book looks like a long cry One day, they hear my silence.
This book takes us back to the tragic telegram paper goods and complex Canadian history: the drama of Robert Latimer, Saskatchewan farmer who killed his daughter in 1993 from carbon monoxide poisoning.
