Once said here that a band is only as good as their live performance ... I found this today: Radiohead - Planet Telex (Coachella 2004) Add to My Profile | More Videos I know that for many of you, it's just another music of Radiohead, which is not the most fascinating. To me it has a special meaning ... when had my 15/16 years, went to the library Abrantes, who also had a piece of multimedia. international cablegram Due to my passion for Creep since Christmas of 91, I received my 1st cd (with the # 1 hits of all time), I decided to take home the The Bends by Radiohead. I get home and put the CD to play ... and got: The Planet Telex with the opening song. I'd international cablegram never heard anything like that. While all my friends fall in love songs by "My Iron Lung", "Fake Plastic Trees" and the more commercial "High and Dry" and "Just" international cablegram (also this excellent international cablegram music), I continued to nurture my passion for the Planet Telex. And go back to it whenever. Always interpreted the lyrics as a hymn to "eh pah do what you do ... it's all spoiled ... try to change it but you know that what you do not want the same will happen." As such, it made even more sense in my moments of depression typical of adolescence. Here is the letter: You can force it but it will not come You can taste it but it will not form You can crush it but it's always here You can crush it but it's international cablegram always near Chasing you home saying Everything is broken Everyone is broken You can force it but it will stay stung You can crush it to dry as a bone You can walk it home straight from school You can kiss it, you can break all the rules But still ... Everything is broken Everyone is broken Everyone is, everyone is broken Everyone is, everything is broken Why can not you forget? Why can not you forget? Why can not you forget? The post stretches, I know. I leave just 3 more curiosities: 1 - It was recorded one night When the chef studio Decided to take the night off. The band Decided to eat out at a restaurant, where the band Consumed a great amount of alcohol. Inspired to write, They returned to the studio from the restaurant and recorded the song. Thom Yorke sung the vocals lying down with a microphone Placed next to his head, completely inebriated. 2 - It is a song that somehow it was ahead of its time, did predict an OK Computer or Kid A. (Taken from Wikipedia international cablegram is not just my opinion). 3 - A music CD is strongly based on the piano. Here, this was replaced by guitar international cablegram with Johnny trémolo international cablegram and phasing. And it was brutal! Really if to say "It's up to you Jonny" ... feeling that they should be giving those opening chords! :)
What is you have against "my iron lung"?! Hmm? I kid, i kid ... this song is brilliant. My favorite on the album. I agree with you .. the "the bends" is the first threat that Radiohead would mark an era. But I think that whatever came next is greater than this album (although the planet international cablegram telex is something unrepeatable even for Radiohead). international cablegram November 22, 2007 14:17
Ah! Plus, as the scene of letter .. your description international cablegram of the meaning brought to mind the lyrics of the Nude: "Do not get any big ideas, they're not gonna happen ...". An incurable optimist that Thom Yorke. November 22, 2007 14:20
